The Sölden ski area is one of the most popular ski areas in the Alpine region - for good reason one of the best: thanks to the high altitude between 1,350 and 3,340 m,two glaciers and modern snowmaking systems, there is absolute snow reliability from autumn to spring. Our 31 mountain lifts (incl. two of the most powerful feeder lifts world-wide) provide access to 144 km of perfectly groomed slopes for all skill levels. There is an abundance of 33 ski huts for refreshment stops, offering many other highlights such as 007 ELEMENTS - James Bond Adventure World or BIG3 Rally so that every single ski day is an adventure in Sölden.

The Sölden glacier ski area, comprising the two glaciers of Rettenbachferner and Tiefenbachferner, traditionally opens its doors in mid-September or early October. The ski season on Sölden's glacier lasts until late April or early May. The winter ski area of Sölden, on the other hand, opens its doors already in mid-November. In general, the first winter ski areas in Austria start the ski season at the end of November or the beginning of December. However, autumn skiing on the glacier starts earlier. For example, in Sölden's glacier ski area which kicks off the ski season as early as mid-September or early October. and is open until the beginning of May. Sölden's winter ski area, which is also connected to the glacier ski area by mountain lifts, opened its doors in the middle of November depending on the snow conditions.
