HIKING
There are some 300km of marked hiking trails. There is a perfect route for everyone: sporty ascents to an altitude above 3,000m or relaxed uphill rides with a cable railway. There is plenty to discover: mountain lakes and snow-covered summits, game and the most beautiful flowers of the Alps. And if you are starving you can stop at one of the 16 shelters or 30 mountain huts and get a bite to eat.
THE FOLLOWING MOUNTAIN GONDOLAS ARE IN OPERATION IN THE SUMMER
• Gaislachkoglbahn Gondola, daily from 9am - 4pm, 3.30pm: last uphill ride
From the platform you enjoy an exceptional panoramic view, even if you've seen plenty before this view will be amazing. This platform above the Ötztal Alps towers at an altitude of 3,058m. The restaurant features deckchairs that are perfect for sunbathing. The summit cross of Gaislachkogl Mountain is only a few steps from there.
