Ötztal tourism and the Mountaineering Schools of Sölden an Vent came up with the following program of guided walks and hikes - free of charge for all Ötztal guest card holders.

• Nature theme hike across wonderful stone pine forests to Mutsbühel hill and ramolalm area boasting awide range of protected Alpine flowers. Great view of the most famous mountain peaks within the entire Ötztal valley, e.g. Wildspitze (3774 m), Weißkugel (3379 m) or Similaun (3606 m).
Meeting place: 09.30 am Vent Tourist Information Office
Walking time: approx. 3,5 - 4,5 hours
Return: approx. 02.30 pm
Speical Tip: bring drinks and snacks with you; there is no mountain hut or snack station
Approx. 4.00 pm: bus ride from Vent to Sölden; you arrive in Sölden at approx. 4.30 pm (for more details have a look at the bus schedule)

• Walking tour: Grieskar - Leiterötze - Peerler See lake - Hochwald - Sölden
Take the two chairlifts (Hochsölden and Rotkogl) up to Giggijoch area and hike towards the Grießkar area until you reach the Leiterötze grounds with lovely lake Peerlersee (2466 m). This trail offers truly unique panoramic views of sölden, the upper Ötztal valley, the scenic Stubaital Alps and the Hochstubaihütte mountain hut as lovely backdrop. In this unspoilt zone you may also catch a glance of apssing chamois, ibex or marmot.
Meeting place: 09.00 am "Bergsport- und Erlebnisschule Sölden", next to local administration
Walking time: 2,5 hours to lake Peerlersee, descent down to Sölden via Granstein Alm hut, Hochwald, Granstein and Leite area - approx. 3 hours
Return: approx. 05.00 pm
The following two hikes are on the program - alternating weekly:
• Hiking tour to Sölden's landmark: „Nederkogl peak (3.163 m)
Taxi transfer to trailhead where the path to Lenzenalm hut starts. The trail via Lenzenalm hut and Nedersee lake climbs very steeply. Nederkogel peak is Sölden's most famous landmark, towering high above the village and the surrounding valleys. On top you are rewarded with stunning vistas of the 3000 meter high Ötztal and Stubaital Alps. If you are lucky you may catch a glance of a passing chamois or marmot in the Seekar area!
Meeting place: 7.00 am "Bergsport- und Erlebnisschule Sölden", next to local administration
Walking time: 4,5 hours to the peak
Return: by public bus at approx. 04.00 pm; bus stops at Sahnestüberl mountain inn
For all walking and hiking tours the following is required:
Surefootedness, good physical shape, sturday hiking boots.
Please note: bus and lift tickets are not included and must be paid on the spot!
