ESKIMO FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY

From outside it seems to be a giant snow mountain with countless peaks, but inside it turns out to be a wonder world made of ice and snow. This truly outstanding building amidst the Ötztal glacier world is Austria's highest-lying overnight possibility and at the same time an object of art in the eternal ice.

Since 2004, the wonderful buildings are shaped with snow blowers and shovels within only 4 weeks at the beginning of winter. The giant labyrinth features 8 igloos accommodating 4 persons each, 8 suites for couples, and a spacious common igloo. Altogether the breathtaking Igloo Village offers enough space for 48 persons; it is open from mid December.

The mystic ambience of the Snow Village lends itself for outstanding nature explorations. Candles are the only source of light. The nearby rumors seem muffled. A place of peace and quiet open to all winter sports fans: skiers are warmly invited to make a tour of the Village and to relax in the comfy lounge. The ice seats are covered with warm and soft sheepskin. Spicy mulled wine and hot tea are served while listening to pleasant music and enjoying the very special atmosphere.

And when the day comes to an end and the ski lifts are already closed, the Alpine scenery is governed by silence and peace. Now is the best time to explore the breathtaking dimension of Sölden's glacier landscapes. A night spent in the Igloo ensures a truly unforgettable experience for nature lovers and adventurers. Among the highlights are igloo workshops, glacier walks and candlelight nights.

The Sölden Igloo Village offers a truly unique attraction for all guests who fear suffering from cold feet or stiff fingers: they get spoiled in the exceptional high-altitude whirlpool and sauna, Europe's highest sauna parlor reserved for our guests exclusive use. Between the single sauna sessions the really tough ones can try rolling in the snow under the starry sky, followed by a relaxing bath in the whirlpool... memories that will stay with you forever!
