Starting point is the parking lot at the outskirts of Gries. From here you follow a slightly uphill forest path in the direction of Sulztalalm. Past meadows and the Vögelasbrücke you soon reach the junction where you follow the forest trail to Sulztalalm. Now you continue along the forest trail with slight incline to the Sulztalalm.

Author’s recommendation

From the Sulztalalm you have the possiblity to hike further towards Amberger Hütte. The last 20 minutes of the way show a larger rise.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the outskirts of Gries, head along meadows to the "Vögelasbrücke". Continue on a slightly ascending forest path to get to the front Sulztalalm.

 

Public transport

Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the

train station Ötztal Bahnhof. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or our local

taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination. Please find the current bus timetable here:

Directions

The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the

longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the

entrance of the valley and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the country
