Uphill across Taschachalpe towards lake Rifflsee. Before reaching the shore, the trail follows Fuldaer Höhenweg. A downhill in the valley's center leads to the bottom of Taschachtal valley and V1. Following the valley to Mittelberg you proceed to Gletscherstube. This is where the long but scenic climb to Braunschweiger Hut and steep Rettenbachjoch (2992 m) begins. Enjoy awesome Alpine panoramas of glaciers and ice-topped peaks. Crossing snow fields, you descend to V2 at Rettenbach Glacier. The last kilometers to Sölden take you along forest roads and sometimes fairly steep trails.
