Nature Park Ötztal - Path Sonnberg

mountain tour , Sport

Path Sonnberg

panorama hike in the Natura 2000 preserve boasts memorable views of popular
3000 meter high peaks and ranks among the region's highlights. At every turn
you can admire the magnificent fauna and flora of the Alpine mountains. The
plants and animals had to develop unique life strategies in order to
survive. The "transhumance" sheep drive between North and South Tirol
is also an important part of the valley's history, it has been taking place for
thousands of years and is one of Vent's special attractions. Every year about
4000 sheep are driven across the glacier ridges to the high Alpine pastures.
