Slope Rescue Card

You can purchase a Sölden Slope Rescue Card when buying your ski pass at one of our sales terminals. It is also possible to obtain a Slope Rescue Card if you have already bought your ski pass (but not after the accident has occurred). The term of insurance is equal to the period of validity of the ski pass (it is not possible to extend this).

Price: € 13 per person and ski pass

The Slope Rescue Card includes the rescue service and first aid at no charge for injured persons within the entire secured Sölden Ski Area (Gaislachkogl, Giggijoch/Hochsölden and Glacier Ski Areas) as well as the transport of the rescued person by the Bergbahnen Sölden slope rescue team depending on the injury’s gravity – either by Akja sled, ski doo or rescue bubble – to the Red Cross or rescue helicopter base.
Costs arising from an alpine rescue operation by an Austrian rescue helicopter are covered by the Slope Rescue Card subsidiarily and only in case if the rescued person has no other valid rescue insurance which refunds the slope rescue costs (subsidiarity principle).

PLEASE NOTE: Costs arising from ambulance transports made by the Austrian Red Cross are not included and must be paid separately.

TIP:
If you do not have adequate insurance cover for alpine rescues (e.g. additional medical insurance, credit card insurance coverage, letter of protection from a motorist club, etc.), we advise you to buy a Sölden Slope Rescue Card, so that you do not have to pay the rescue costs in case of an accident:
