Trudging  through the untouched white either on your own or accompanied by a local guide you will take new insights on the way to rustic mountain huts.

From the base station of Ochsengarten mountain gondola you follow the forest trail on the right hand side, leading to Hochoetz and Kühtaile Alm, further on to Rotes Wandl offering picturesque views of Oetz. Walking past the Panorama Restaurant, proceed via Kühtaile Alm to Balbachalm and back again to Ochsengarten.

Public transport
