Glacier skibus Sölden

Reach the glacier slopes comfortably and stress-free

Instead of driving towards the high Alpine mountains in your own car we recommend a more relaxed version: why don't you take a ride on the glacier skibus! It carries winter sports fans comfortably from Sölden straight to Rettenbach and Tiefenbachferner free of charge, and back again after an action-packed first skiing day with trembling thighs. Honestly, on the way back to the valley you will appreciate leaning back.

WHEN DOES THE GLACIER SKI BUS LEAVE?

The bus takes skiers and snowboarders with a valid skipass or with winter sports equipment for free to the glacier ski area in about 30 minutes driving time. The bus stops at all stops in the village center. For car drivers it's advisable to get on the bus at the base stations of Giggijoch or Gaislachkogl mountain gondolas as there are enough parking areas (for free).

As soon as the slopes open in September, the summer timetable with departures every hour is still valid. In October, two uphill bus rides (8.30 am and 9.40 am) and two return trips (3.45 pm and 4.00 pm) are scheduled. After the Ski World Cup weekend, the glacier skibus runs every hour or half hour. As soon as the winter ski area and the "Golden Gate to the Glacier" connecting lifts are in operation by the end of November, there are no more bus transfers and the road is closed.

In winter, the Glacier Toll Road remains entirely closed to public traffic.
