Celebrate the start of winter together with Wolfgang Ambros in the Glacier Stadium.

Never before such a big number of Fan Clubs has registered. Therefore the finish area reserved for the Fan Clubs has been enlarged.

Thanks to abundant snowfalls and truly perfect snow conditions the skiable terrain at Rettenbach and Tiefenbach Glacier is big enough for both skiers and snowboarders. Besides the icy race course, which is closed to public skiing, there is plenty of space for everyone!

Many Austrian fans will enjoy a long weekend in Sölden as Monday, 26 October, is a national holiday. A varied show program is scheduled, including a live concert of Wolfgang Ambros as the ultimate opening event of he forthcoming winter season.

SKI WORLDCUP OPENING 2009 - SÖLDEN

From 24th to 26th October 2009 Sölden/Tirol/Austria again hosts the ultimate FIS Ski World Cup Races. As every year, the women's giant slalom opens the new World Cup season. In the 2009/10 winter season Alpine Ski World Championships are scheduled as well.

GÖSSER SKI FESTIVAL WITH LIVE CONCERT WOLFGANG AMBROS

On 26 October, a live concert on the Ö3 Glacier Stage - performed by Wolfgang Ambros, one of Austria's most renowned pop singers will be held.
 
Highlight of the ultimate Gösser Ski Festival will be a mass karaoke performance similar to the event initiated by Pink Floyd in London a couple of months ago.

BUSTRANSFERS FROM ALL TIROL

On the occasion of the Ski World Cup Opening bus transfers are oganized in cooperation with Raiffeisen in the entire province of Tirol.

On both race days shuttle buses to the races held on Rettenbach Glacier and back again are available.
