For all those who are traveling with their own vehicle, we have summarized all the information on the paid parking options (daily parking spaces and short-term parking zones) here and explain why we have decided to introduce parking space management.
Day parking areas
Paid day parking is available at the Freizeit Arena Sölden (open area & car park) as well as at the Giggijoch and Gaislachkogl feeder lifts (open areas & car parks). Why parking area management?
The traffic volume within Ötztal is steadily increasing from year to year. In order to counteract this trend and make a contribution to the mobility transition, car parking management was introduced. It is intended to reduce non-essential private traffic by promoting the use of public transport lines at the same time - thanks to the free Guest Card you can enjoy free travel on valley-wide public bus lines from 07.10.2024 to 05.06.2025, which run every half hour throughout the valley.
Part of the proceeds coming from car parking management is reinvested directly in valley-wide public transport in order to further improve and expand services in the future. Together we will achieve the mobility transition and thereby protect the climate – thank you for your help!
