As a red (intermediate) hiking trail, the 12 km long route can be mastered in about 4 hours walking time. From the base station of Gaislachkogl mountain gondola hikers cross the Ötztaler Ache brook, pass the Waalweg Mooserstegle water trail and then start the strenuous ascent up to scenic Brunnenbergalm, which makes a perfect rest stop place. The most beautiful stretch can be found on the high Alpine plateau where the Alpine flora shows its most colorful side in midsummer. Flowers and plants invite you to take a closer look at the lush Alpine meadows while the view of Ventertal and the glacier-topped rear end of the valley draw your attention away from the pasturelands. From "Sahnestüberl" snack station hikers descend to Zwieselstein - where Ötztal forks off - and make their way through scenic Kühtrainschlucht ravine. Accompanied by the rushing glacier water and picture-book views, they finally reach Moosalm hut and return to Sölden.
