Snowshoe hiking & winter walking

Step by step towards a holistic experience

The hiking paradise of Sölden also has a marvelous winter season: 49.5 km of cleared, signposted winter hiking trails take walkers straight through snow-covered forests, white meadows and along Ötztaler Ache mountain brook. Adventure-seeking vacationers grab their snowshoes and listen to the crunching snow under their feet while lively Sölden disappears in the background. Trudging  through the untouched white either on your own or accompanied by a local guide you will take new insights on the way to rustic mountain huts.

Turn-by-turn directions

The classic cross-country track starts after the bridge with a loop in the valley before you go up to the biathlon stand. The remaining course is adapted to the Fischbach. The highest point of the cross-country ski trail is reached at the bridge in the Sulztal. After crossing the Fischbach, the cross-country trail runs slightly downhill on the left side of the brook. Only after crossing again you have to cope with the last height meters around the place before you have reached the starting point again.
