Welcome to Markus Morandell's Ötztal Mountain School! As the founder and director of the Ötztal Mountain School, I offer training courses, summit tours and high-alpine hikes for individuals and only in small groups. I personally lead all tours and courses. Other mountain guides are only called in in exceptional cases and by prior arrangement. This guarantees you personal and individual support during tours, as well as competent, systematic training for beginners and experts.
Our new VVT bike boxes at the Mini-M (Post place) are available for the safe parking of bikes. These are enclosed parking spaces that provide the best possible protection against vandalism, theft and weather. All ten bike boxes are equipped with a secure lock, interior lighting and storage tray/clothes hook. The boxes can be booked at https://radbox.vvt.at/ After a one-time registration, you can book the bike box of your choice online at Post place at any time. Bookings can be made by day, week or year. On the first floor of the listed Widum, the 50 m² exhibition is dedicated to the diverse nature and cultural topics around Vent. An impressive photo gallery shows the traditional shaft drive between Vent and South Tyrol. The rich settlement history around Vent is excitingly told. These weighty topics are presented sensitively and unobtrusively, along with the tradition of field names or the history of the Alpine Club.
