Start of this moderate hiking tour is the car park "Mure" in the center of Umhausen. Below the cemetery the hiking trail goes through the meadows and past the chapel till the base of the mountain (Farst). Therefrom you walk approx. 1 hour to "Farst". At the top is an amazing view till the "Gurgler Kamm". Above the houses you find signpost to "Reich Alm"(closed). The way is varied, sometimes steeper, sometimes more gentle. Attention at the last piece, it is very steep. At the end there is a view at the alpine pastures and the mountain.

Public transport
Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Ötztal Bahnhof. The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off the southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the entrance of the valley and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the country roads.
