You have always wanted to be "on top" of a 3000-meter peak, but you are not the mountain-aficionado type? No problem at all: Gaislachkogl mountain gondola takes you up the mountain in a relaxed way. You have the choice of making a stop at the middle station or going all the way to the summit. The ride up to 3040 meters takes just 12 minutes and is a unique experience in itself.

Bond inside the mountain

Yep, you read right. INSIDE the mountain. The worldwide unique 007 ELEMENTS James Bond Adventure World is located inside 3048 m high Gaislachkogl summit. In 2015, the Bond movie "Spectre" was filmed in Sölden: the interactive multimedia installation - peppered with original props and gadgets - sets a monument to the world of the most popular secret agent.

2-toque awarded on 3.000m

Speaking of James Bond: just a stone's throw away from 007 ELEMENTS, the ice Q gourmet restaurant towers high above the valley at the summit of Gaislachkogl. Thus, it is Austria’s highest 2-toque awarded restaurant. Not only the dishes are a taste experience, the glassed-coated cube itself is an architectural eye catcher. And therefore, acted as a Bond filming location.

Alpine pleasure in the FALCON

You don't necessarily have to go all the way up to experience culinary treats on scenic Gaislachkogl "Adventure Mountain". The FALCON restaurant at the middle station, newly opened in 2021, offers a quick snack and refreshment in the market restaurant with open cooking station offering new food trends.

Hiking options galore

Gaislachkogl middle station and its lovely restaurants is not only a great place to stop off for a bite to eat, but also the starting point for countless lift-assisted hikes. Like the one to heart-shaped lake Gaislachsee, a popular photo motif in the summer months. Or the leisurely nature exploration trail that leads along the tree line to rustic Maria's Alm.

Great downhill action

Sure, you can of course take the gondola lift back down to the valley. But it's guaranteed to be much more fun on three wheels! On a mountain cart, a non-motorized off-road go-kart, you cruise on a more than 7 kilometer long track down into the valley - where the tobogganists rule in winter. You can conveniently hire such a vehicle at the middle station and simply return it on the valley floor.
