Do you have enough power in your calves? With a difference in altitude of 1,890 m and a total length of around 15 km, the LONGEST RUN - GLACIER is the ultimate downhill challenge and the longest run in the Sölden ski area. The start is at 3,250 m and leads over a challenging course to the finish at the valley station of the Gaislachkoglbahn at 1,360 m.

The Sölden Challenge confronts you with the task of successfully mastering up to 18 competitions in the ski area. To do so, you have to prove your skiing skills, how to strike a pose, and show your spirit of discovery. Depending on the number of badges you collect, you will earn rewards!
How do you participate?
Registration & Login
To participate, you must first register with skiline or sign up for the Sölden Challenge. It is important to enter the correct ski pass number(s) for the ski ticket(s) used. Both steps are mandatory in order to participate.
By the way: Existing skiline users only need to register their ski pass and sign up for the ‘Sölden Challenge’ competition. Each participant's ski pass must be scanned separately.
How do I master the challenges?
Process
Go to the starting point of each challenge and read the information boards explaining the procedure. Then successfully complete the challenge. The individual competitions are also described in detail at the bottom of the page.
Once you have successfully completed all the challenges for an award, you will receive a notification in your Skiline App, which you can use to redeem your instant prize at the cash desk of the Gaislachkogl valley station.
For every three awards you complete, you will automatically be entered into a prize draw for 5 × 1 day ski passes in Sölden.
If you complete all four awards, you will be entered into a prize draw for a holiday in Sölden.

PHOTOPOINT Award
Show us your biggest grin: There are 6 photo points all over the ski area where you have to take a snapshot.

Burning thighs guaranteed: The 7 "Explore" competitions demand a lot of stamina from you, because in addition to brilliant impressions, you will also collect a lot of altitude metres. On the way to the individual badges you will explore the entire ski area.
BIG3 Rallye
50 kilometres across the ski area: Ski up and down the three three-thousand-metre ski mountains in a single day: The programme is ambitious, but doable. Even more, it marks the baptism of fire and the absolute highlight for you as a true Sölden fan.
Use the following lifts within one day, ideally in this order:

By registering for the Sölden Challenge and entering your ski pass number, your rally through the ski area will be tracked automatically.
How it works:
Start at the valley station of the Giggijochbahn, via the Giggijoch to the Rettenbach glacier and the first BIG3 experience on the Schwarzer Schneide (3,340 m), continue to the Tiefenbach glacier and the second BIG3 highlight the Tiefenbachkogl (3,250 m). From Tiefenbach you return via the Rettenbach Glacier to the valley station of the Gaislachkoglbahn. Up to the third BIG3, the Gaislachkogl (3,048 m).
LONGEST RUN - GLACIER
How it works:
The start is registered by scanning your ski pass at the Schwarze Schneid Photopoint. At the finish of the downhill run (end of piste 9), scan the ski pass again on the information board to successfully complete the competition within an hour.
LONGEST RUN - GAISLACHKOGL
This is where it really gets going! With an altitude difference of 1,688 m and a total distance of approx. 10 km, the LONGEST RUN GAISLACHKOGL demands everything from you. The start of the ski downhill is at 3,058 m and ends directly at the valley station of the Gaislachkoglbahn at 1,360 m.
How it works:
The start is registered by scanning your ski pass at the Gaislachkogl Photopoint. At the finish of the downhill run (end of piste 9), scan the skipass again on the information board to successfully complete the competition within an hour.
LONGEST RUN - ROSSKIRPL
This run, which starts at the Rosskirpl mountain station (2,774 m), not only tests your endurance but also your skiing skills. After all, the first third of the LONGEST RUN ROSSKIRPL leads over a black piste before the route winds its way to the Giggijoch valley station with a medium level of difficulty. In between, a hardness test for your quads with an altitude difference of almost 1,400m.
How it works:
The start is registered by scanning your ski pass at the Rosskirpl Photopoint. At the finish of the downhill run (end of piste 21), scan the ski pass again on the information board to successfully complete the competition within an hour.
Collect metres in altitude
Nomen est omen: climb 7,000, 10,000 or even 15,000 metres of altitude in the Sölden ski area in one day.
How it works:
When you register or sign up for the Sölden Challenge and enter your ski pass number, the metres of altitude covered are automatically tracked.

Adrenaline Award
Do you consider yourself a complete skier? Prove it by tackling the two race tracks: the ‘speed track’ and the giant slalom gates.
Adrenaline rush guaranteed: the ‘Fun Slope’ and ‘Fun Cross’ competitions demand your full commitment. Experience exciting turns, rapid waves and collect unforgettable impressions as you put your skills to the test. Ready to have fun?
How it works:
Once your ski pass has been scanned and the starting gate opens, you can get going. Afterwards, you can watch, download and share your race (speed & giant slalom) with friends free of charge at soelden.com/winterchallenge. You will receive your badge after completing the course.
SPEED
Can you blow everyone away with your squat? Then show us! In the SPEED competition only one thing counts: speed. So make sure you have the perfect racing squat. A sensor will measure your speed exactly and a speed photo will record your speedy ride.
GIANT SLALOM
Do you ride like you're on rails? Then show us! The RIESENSLALOM is great fun for alpine fans. Set up as a parallel competition, you can also prove your skills individually. Either way, each run is filmed individually and all run times are measured separately.
FUN SLOPE - 8SK GIGGIJOCH
Here you can expect thrilling banked turns, sweeping wave tracks and unique elements that ensure the ride never gets boring.
FUN CROSS - 8SK GIGGIJOCH
Looking for a good dose of fun, action and pure World Cup feeling? Then you'll definitely find what you're looking for in the 2023/24 winter season on the new Funcross course in Sölden! Speed fans and all those who want to become one can look forward to many sweeping snow waves and rapid steep turns over a length of around one kilometre that will get your adrenaline pumping!
