Shuttle buses & Parking

Here you will find all relevant information about Hannibal, the glacier spectacle. 

The location of the event

HANNIBAL takes place at the Rettenbach Glacier (2,680 m). The viewing area is located directly next to the Rettenbach Restaurant and is easily accessible. Access is possible by shuttle bus or private car via the glacier road, and there is ample parking available at the Rettenbach Glacier.

Access to the glacier is only possible with a valid HANNIBAL ticket. Access control takes place when boarding the shuttle bus or at the toll booth.

Admission to the event grounds: 5.30 PM

Shuttle buses glacier

On the day of the performance, shuttle buses will run to and from the glacier. Shuttle bus stops in Sölden:

  • Giggijochbahn
  • Postplatz
  • Gaislachkoglbahn

The shuttle buses do not stop at the Pitze stop.

DEPARTURE TIMES

  • Shuttle to the glacier: 5.00 PM – 7.15 PM
  • Shuttle from the glacier down to the valley: 9.30 PM - midnight

There is no shuttle service between Innsbruck and Sölden.

Parking in Sölden

It is also possible to park your car in Sölden and take the shuttle bus to the glacier.

GTC

  • The events take place in high alpine terrain (2,680 m). Each visitor is responsible for providing their own suitable personal equipment – WARM CLOTHING and appropriate FOOTWEAR, etc.
  • Leaving the immediate event area is strictly prohibited (alpine hazards).
  • All visitors agree to abide by the published terms and conditions of the event.
  • Recordings or recordings of the performance are strictly prohibited.
  • Parents are responsible for their children; the Tyrolean Youth Protection Act (TJSG) applies.
  • The event is not suitable for wheelchair users.
  • According to TJSG, alcohol may only be served to persons aged 16 and over.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be denied access to the event grounds.
  • Regular skiing operations will cease at closing time, and the event area (including restaurants) must be vacated by 4:30 p.m. at the latest.
  • From 4.30 p.m. onwards, access to the entire event area at the Rettenbach Glacier (including restaurants) is only permitted with a valid HANNIBAL ticket (the ski pass is not valid as a HANNIBAL ticket!).
  • It is prohibited to bring any kind of beverages (especially alcoholic beverages), intoxicants, fireworks, animals and bulky items into the gondolas. Prohibited items will be confiscated by security personnel. Persons who violate this rule will be denied access or expelled from the event grounds. There is no possibility to store confiscated items on site.
  • The instructions of the security and railway staff must be followed at all times.
  • Cancellation: In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather or adverse road conditions, admission fees will not be refunded.
  • No refund of the admission fee in case of no-show!
