Explanation
This treasure trail takes you through the small village of Zwieselstein. Above the main road, you walk past the chapel, cross the main road and walk through the meadow towards the soccer pitch. You return to the village along the river and turn off after the bridge to a resting place that you won't normally see if you just drive through Zwieselstein.
Zwieselstein lies in a small basin at the back of Ötztal. Here, where the valley forks into the Venter and Gurgler valleys, the crystal-clear waters of the Venter and Gurgler Ache rivers merge to form the majestic Ötztaler Ache. You hike through the small village and enjoy the impressive backdrop of imposing mountains, lush alpine meadows and clear mountain streams. Along the trail, you pass a small, traditional church.
Step by step, the trail leads you across flowering meadows and through the forest, enjoying the sound of the streams and the chirping of the birds, while the scent of fresh fir trees invigorates your senses.
How does the treasure hunt work? There are small caches (treasure boxes) along the marked route. One or more letters are hidden in each cache. Memorize these letters or write them down. Together these letters form a solution word.
Once you have found all the caches on this tour and know the solution word, you can pick up a small gift (for children) at the information desk in Sölden, Vent or Gurgl.
Depending on snow conditions, the tour is also possible in winter. Magnetic caches, normal tins, Petlinge and much more are hidden here. Please make sure that everything is well hidden again.
