Assistance on the race course

Your dream, our support

You are fighting for your dream and we take care of all the rest: both support and assistance along the marathon course are exemplary and include medical care, repair service, bicycle storage, massage service and - of course - our sweeper bus, which will pick you up if you are too exhausted and can no longer continue. A guarded bicycle garage for your racing bike is available for free in Sölden.

Medical care & assistance

The Austrian Red Cross will offer medical care and assistance for all participants by providing ambulances accompanying the participants along the entire marathon course. Additional emergency vehicles will be stationed at Kühtai, Brenner, Jaufen and Timmelsjoch passes. A rescue helicopter and five emergency doctors will also be on duty.

Primary care and first aid provided by the rescue organization is free of charge. Participants themselves are responsible for the costs of transport and any further transportation or treatment expenses. The general registration conditions & participation terms apply.

Sweeper bus

Participants who (must) quit the race should stay on/near the race course to be picked up by one of the support vehicles know as broom wagons or sweeper buses. Designated pick-up points (restaurants/gas stations) will be posted on information boards in advance. The organizer accepts no liability for damage to bicycles that occurs during the race, at refreshment stations, in sweeper vehicles or at bike pick-up points:  the general registration conditions & participation terms apply. People and bicycles will be transported to Sölden separately.

Bicycles will be taken to the bike pick-up point at the bandstand (music pavilion) near the finish area and handed out upon presentation of the bib number. Opening hours will be posted on the information boards starting Friday. All bicycles must be picked up by 21:00 on race day. Pick-up after this deadline is only possible for a penalty fee of € 15. The respective pick-up location will be posted on the information boards after the bike pick-up point closes.

Repair service

Service cars & motorcycles are available along the marathon course. Motorcycles can assist in case of minor breakdowns while service cars with personnel and spare parts try to repair more serious damage. This service is free but replacement parts and material will be charged.

At each refreshment station, there is also a permanent service point marked with a "SERVICE" flag. Service at these points is also free of charge but participants have to pay for replacement parts and material costs

Deposit service

Participants can pick up or drop off personal belongings at four storage stations (close to the refreshment areas). Color-coded bags are provided for this special purpose; only ONE (!) bag per participant will be handed out and accepted upon presentation of a voucher (attached to yourLebensmittle bib number). In addition to clothing, foods can be dropped off, but only empty water bottles or drinking bottles filled with powder (no liquid contents) are accepted. Water is available at the refreshment stations. The organizer assumes no liability for items deposited at the storage stations. The general registration conditions & participation terms apply.
