Get your Ötztal Passes Pass and enjoy the endless uphill and downhill stretches of the original Ötztaler Cycle Marathon route. When? At any time! Anyone can start, individually from mid June to mid October 2025 (until the winter closure of the Timmelsjoch high alpine road). The Ötztal Passes Pass mission is not a cycling race. There is no competition or scoring - enjoyment (taking part in the event) is most important. 

This is how it works:

Collect a stamp on each Alpine pass (Kühtai, Brenner, Jaufen Pass, Timmelsjoch) and get an Ötztaler Cycle Marathon goodie on presentation of the full stamp pass.

Stop by the quaint inns, experience (South) Tirolean hospitality & get advice from real professionals at the local sports shops. In this way you also support the loyal cycling family so that you can spend many pleasant hours on our routes also in the future.

  1. First register free of charge HERE and enter your data details.
  2. Print out your Ötztal Passes Pass. TIP: It's recommended to use a laser printer and a protective cover. In the Sölden Tourist Office (Mon - Sat 8:00 - 12:30 | 14:00 - 18:00 & Sun 9.00 - 12.00 | 15:00 - 18:00) the Pass can be printed out if necessary.
  3. Cycle along the original Ötztaler Cycle Marathon route and collect a stamp at each mountain pass. All details about checkpoints and route map can be found HERE.
  4. After finishing the tour, get your finisher stamp and Ötztaler Cycle Marathon Goodie from the Sölden Tourist Office. (Only upon personal presentation of your full stamp pass. Each person can participate only once.)

    Arrival by train

    Travel comfortably and safely by train to Ötztal train station. A bus line starts directly from the station forecourt towards Obergurgl. The bus ride to Sölden takes about 1 - 1.5 hours.

    Who can win?
    Eligible to participate are persons over the age of 18. Employees of Ötztal Tourismus and their relatives are not eligible to participate.

    Procedure of the competition
    Participation in the competition is free of charge. The competition starts in mid-June 2024 and ends in mid-October 2024 (until the winter closure of the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road.

    Determination of the winner
    The winner will be drawn at the end of the competition.

    Notification of the prize
    The winner will be contacted via the e-mail address provided and notified of the prize and asked for confirmation (acceptance of the prize and further contact details).

    Prize
    Starting place with accommodation for the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon 2025 raffled. The prize cannot be exchanged or redeemed in cash. A transfer to other persons is not possible. A participant can waive the prize. In this case, the competition prize will be randomly reallocated among the eligible participants.

    Redeeming the prize
    The competition prize can be redeemed at the Cycle Marathon 2025.

    Liability
    1. The organiser shall not be liable for errors in the transmission of data, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to and changes to participant data, technical faults of any kind, damage to the computer of a participant or any other person resulting from participation in the competition.
    2. The organiser shall be liable without limitation insofar as the cause of the damage is based on intent or gross negligence.
    3. Subject to availability, the organiser shall be liable for the slightly negligent breach of essential obligations, the breach of which jeopardises the achievement of the purpose of the contract, or for the breach of obligations, the fulfilment of which is essential for the proper execution of the competition and on the observance of which the contractual partners regularly rely.
