General details
In addition to the usual risks of cycling sports, the organizer points out particular dangers associated with participating in the marathon. Such dangers can arise - for example - from road conditions (slippery or damaged asphalt), especially dangerous spots and fall or crash zones that cannot be fully secured, alpine weather conditions, free-roaming livestock or wild animals as well as the behavior of other participants, spectators or volunteers.
The marathon course is not completely or continuously closed to traffic. General road traffic regulations apply. Participants should expect overtaking, crossing or oncoming traffic as well as emergency vehicles at any time, especially on the downhill stretch from Timmelsjoch pass.
