However, a stop in Sölden's traditionally serviced mountain huts and Alpine pasture inns is an absolute must and you will soon find out why. Some are conveniently located close to the valley floor, others can be reached after a short mountain gondola ride or by hut taxi, still others only by a long walk on foot. In all places you can expect freshly prepared mountain food, jovial hut atmosphere and uninterrupted mountain vistas.
OUR HÜHNERSTEIGN ARE LOCATED UP ON 2,012 METERS ABOVE SEA LEVEL, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ÖTZTALER ALPS - CLOSE TO THE GLACIER ROAD. IN OUR ORIGINAL MOUNTAIN HUT WITH TYROLEAN ATMOSPHERE AND AUTHENTIC FLAIR, WE CREATE SPACE FOR MOMENTS OF ENJOYMENT, AMBIANCE AND SPECIAL MEMORIES. During summer we are the perfect destination for everyone who wants to stop and relax after a hike or bike tour. In winter, thanks to our great location right on the ski slope and the glacier road, we offer the ideal rest point - to warm up, strengthen yourself and to get together. From February on, we are also happy to welcome you on our sun terrace with beautiful mountain views and serve you good things from our kitchen and cellar. In addition to our warm hospitality, this is another reason why some guests would prefer to come to us every day! All year round, in addition to our traditional delicacies and Tyrolean cuisine, we offer the ideal setting for special occasions and celebrations for up to 120 people, of course individually adapted to you and your wishes. The Siegerland HütteThe hut is high above the Windachtal in the Stubaier Alps on 2.710 metres and not far from the border to South Tyrol. It also has his own climbing garden. The hut was built in 1928/29 and opened in 1930. The owner is the DAV, section Siegerland.Every year the section renovates and renews the hut, which is very neat. The Siegerland Refuge is of course not the oldest hut and not the most comfortable one, but we are sure, it is one of the most beautiful huts in the Stubaier Alps. The hut extinguish with it’s simplicity- but please believe- the "Kaiserschmarrn" never tasted better than up in the mountains.The hut has 23 beds and 26 dorm mattresses.
