Why do we need parking area management?

The traffic volume within Ötztal is steadily increasing from year to year. In order to counteract this trend, parking area management was introduced. It is intended to reduce non-essential private transport by promoting the use of public transport lines at the same time – thanks to the free Guest Card you enjoy free use of public buses from 04 Oct 2023 to 31 May 2024, which run every half hour throughout the valley.

Part of the revenue from parking area management will be reinvested directly in public valley-wide transport in order to further improve and expand it in the future. Together we will achieve the mobility transition and thus protect the climate – thank you for your support!
