Trail Update 2026
New lines & extended trail fun
The trail network in the most flowing Alpine nation continues to grow unstoppably! Discover here the two brand-new lines, extended trails and further trail improvements you can look forward from the 2026 biking season. And right from start: ALL trails & bike lifts will be in operation just for you in the new season as there are no restrictions!
NEW: Hupfar Line
A long-awaited wish of our citizens is finally coming true thanks to the opening of the new Hupfar Line on 04 June 2026! "Hupfar" means "jump" in Ötztal dialect and perfectly sums up what you can expect from this jump line: airtime, airtime & even more airtime!
Facts:
- Difficulty level: red
- Length of section 1: 1.55 km (opening on 04.06.2026)
- Characteristics: wide, flowing & lots of airtime
- Different lines & take-offs (expert/intermediate) at selected obstacles & jumps, marked with signs on-site
- Obstacles: tables, rollers, drops, corners, berms
- Section 2: construction starts in May; planned opening for the BRS Festival from 18 to 21 June 2026; designed by Swatch Nines athletes Sam Hodgson and Veronique Sandler (check our social media accounts for construction progress!)
- Length of section 2: about 0.2 km

NEW: Drimmle Line
Short and sweet, but incredibly helpful: the new Drimmle Line (Ötztal dialect for "a little piece") bridges the gap between the trails on Gaislachkogl and those on Giggijoch. Great advantage: you can easily switch back and forth between the two areas or lifts on your bike without having to go down to the valley and onto the road.
Facts:
- Difficulty level: blue
- Length: 400 m
- Characteristics: similar to Gahe Line
NEW: Gaislachkogl Middle Station Pump Track
Want to warm up on the mountain before hitting the first lines and trails on Gaislachkogl? The new pump track at Gaislachkogl middle station will let you do just that - starting in the 2026 bike season!
EXTENDED: Traien Trail
The sky is the limit! For all our passionate citizens who love riding especially the Bike Republic's single trails, we have really great news: the already existing Traien Trail is being extended downhill - comprising a total length of 2.3 km.
Facts:
- Difficulty level: red
- Length of new section: 1.7 km
- Total length: 2.3 km
- Characteristics: red, similar to already existing section
Tuned & adapted
We have not just built new trails or extended existing ones, but we have also taken care of the existing trail network. What kind of optimizations are we talking about? Find out below!
Not only winter sports enthusiasts benefit from the new trail & slope intersection, but also us Bike Republicans in the future! In addition to a reshaping, Ohn Line will receive a short new route. Special bonus: the quite inconvenient, short section directly next to the road will be eliminated.
The expansion of Troalen Line continues in 2026! Last year, the extension downwards to Giggijoch Restaurant was completed. This year, the extension upwards is planned so that it will be possible to start directly below the water reservoir and the road crossing in the future. This is how we will achieve our self-imposed goal of making the entire bike loop (Gaislachkogl - Rotkogl - Giggijoch) rideable at a blue (easy) difficulty level.
After the water reservoir and road crossing section, Ollweite Line will have a completely new route leading towards the rocky field. Get ready for even more superb rock & roll, because this section will offer exactly that in the near future: more rocks, more rock fields!
Due to ski slope modifications near Wasserkar base station, this classic Bike Republic trail highlight will be rerouted in the wallride area. The new section, of course, remains true to the iconic character of this popular line!
