Weather conditions
Weak high-pressure conditions are shaping the weather. At the same time, noticeably warmer air masses are gradually moving in during the day, creating a summery feel. The atmospheric conditions will only become more unstable later in the day.
Weather pattern
The race day will mostly bring pleasant weather. Despite a few clouds, the sun will often shine. Once the few remaining clouds have cleared in the morning, only a few wispy clouds will be visible at most. In the afternoon, cumulus clouds will form more frequently. It is not until the evening that these cumulus clouds are likely to become more threatening. However, the risk of rain showers or thunderstorms will only increase locally. Exactly where and when this will happen can only be estimated more accurately at very short notice. During the day, the risk of rain showers is only 10–20 per cent; in the evening, it is 30–50 per cent. Temperatures are typical of summer. The light to moderate wind generally comes from the south and has a slight southerly foehn character.
Conclusion for the Ötztal Cycling Marathon: It seems to be looking very favourable all round. There are just a few minor uncertainties later in the day. Local showers are only likely from around 6 pm!
