OVER THE RAMOLPASS INTO THE NIEDERTAL

From the Ramolhaus over the dead ice of the Ramolferner follows a passage in steep terrain to the Ramoljoch. Fixed ropes and steel brackets facilitate the ascent here. Down in switchbacks – initially beside the Spiegelferner, it goes relatively flat downwards. On the lateral moraine of the Spiegelferner, you turn left at about 2,800 meters to the Martin-Busch-Hütte, where the Diemweg begins. A slight ascent follows to the alpine pasture area. There you hike without significant altitude change over the slopes in the Niedertal. At the end of the Diemweg, you cross the bridge and follow the steeply ascending path through the dwarf pines. From the old shepherd's hut, the path leads about 1 hour further to the Martin-Busch-Hütte.

Public transit

Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final station or exit point is the ÖTZTAL train station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel by public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination.
