(Not) A bike park for women
Percentage of women? Above average!
We certainly don't want a bike park for women. But we do want a tremendous amount of flow. We want relaxed and surfy lines where we can get used to biking on trails. A first point of contact could be the 1.3 km long Schtirggar Line which can be reached (and used) free of charge with the Zentrum Shuttle. We want variety and challenges once we feel already comfortable on the bike. We want to have fun together without any pressure or posturing. We want to stop off at delicious mountain huts and unwind down in the valley.
Open, tolerant & fun
A place where everyone truly feels at home and no one is excluded. A republic with many female bike citizens because we ladies have an immense biking appetite. The proportion of women in the Bike Republic is above average. This is certainly due to the finely shaped lines that are not geared towards competition. They are all about rolling in, gaining self-confidence and trust in the bike and, of course, fun-packed riding. Perfect routes to get into trail biking without immediately having those typical girl thoughts: my God, how am I doing?
Single ladies & single trails (put a wheel on it)
But it's not that we women are the weaker riders. There are countless girls who (could) easily overtake the guys on the left. Even on the more technically challenging single trails. Highlights like our deep black natural trail spectacle – Fernar Trail accessible only via shuttle and starting in the glacier area at over 2,800 m – are also highly frequented by women. Just like the very rooty Nene Trail or Jägers Notweg Trail.
No stress on the trails
We are celebrating the fact that the Bike Republic truly has a special vibe. That people are relaxed and not stressed - women don't have to worry about being pushed from behind on the trail. Thanks to the extensive trail network, both female and male bikers have enough space on the mountain, while mutual respect is written in bold in our constitution!
After biking, the community meets at the Rolling Bike Bar on the Rolling pump track grounds (not far from Gaislachkogl base station). It's the perfect place to hang out, chat with fellow citizens and toast to a great day of biking. If you want to put your feet up and relax after biking, you should head to Längenfeld - home to the famous thermal spa of AQUA DOME.
