- Located at the foot of the Rettenbach Glacier / slopes 30, 31 and 33
- Via the ski area - 8EUB Gletscherexpress / GOLDEN GATE to the glacier (this is the name of the connection between the winter ski area and the glacier)
- Via the glacier road until winter skiing starts (glacier bus or car)

Due to urgently required work on the infrastructure, the Schwarze Schneid I + II and the Rettenbach Glacier Restaurant as well as all WC facilities at Rettenbach and Tiefenbach will remain closed on Friday, August 14, 2026,.
The Glacier Road is closed to public traffic from the toll booth. Deliveries and construction traffic are exempted.
Bus line 70 to the glacier operates according to schedule, but only until the stop Maut and then returns. For hikers coming from Braunschweiger Hütte, a bus will be provided from Rettenbach to Tiefenbach Glacier.
Summer: hot food from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Winter: hot food from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
