On the cross-border Route 2 of the Ötztal Trek in "Sölden's Silent Part", hikers can indulge in Alpine peace and seclusion. The first stage of the high Alpine loop hike takes you to Brunnenkogelhaus (2738 m), continuing on a scenic mountain trail to Timmelsjoch Pass and Schneeberghaus (2355 m) on the South Tyrolean side. The ancient smuggler's path across Windacher Scharte ridge takes you back to Ötztal and straight to Siegerlandhütte (2710 m). Continue up to Hildesheimer Hütte (2899 m) at eye level with Zuckerhütl peak. Two variants are available to reach Hochstubaihütte (3174 m). From there, hikers descend to Sölden with a huge range of experiences and impressions in their backpack.
If you start the hut hike in the reverse direction, the ascent to Hochstubaihütte can be made either via Kleblealm pasture hut and Laubkarsee mountain lake or via Fiegl's Hütte and Seekarsee Alpine lake.
Special tip: In both cases there is a hut taxi service up to the pasture huts (you can save about 2 hours walking time).
