From the Mure parking lot in the village center of Umhausen, you comfortably go through the district of Neudorf. After crossing the Fundus bridge, follow the wide forest path to the junction of Fundustal (left) and Leierstal (right). There, continue walking right towards the destination of the Vorderen Leierstalalm, which is, however, not managed. If you continue up the Leiersbach, you will reach the Leierstal and the Hintere Leierstalalm located at the valley end (also not managed).

From the Mure parking lot in the village center of Umhausen, you comfortably go through the district of Neudorf. After crossing the Fundus bridge, follow the wide forest path to the junction of Fundustal (left) and Leierstal (right). There, continue walking right towards the destination of the Vorderen Leierstalalm, which is, however, not managed.

Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel through the entire valley to your desired destination using public transport or local taxi companies! The car journey to the ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the ÖTZTAL branches southward as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car takes visitors over the Inn valley to the valley entrance and then along the Ötztal valley. In addition to the toll motorway, country roads can also be used. You can quickly and easily plan your trip with a route planner.

Equipment
Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, a hat, and possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Bringing a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without a chance to stop for food, is necessary.
