Along the Almzeit Sölden adventure trail you will discover the most beautiful side of pasture life with all senses. Seven oversized wooden letters at the Gaislachkogl middle station form the Almzeit slogan and promise not only heaps of fun but also activities and nature enjoyment at the heart of the mountains. More than 20 activity stations, divided into several topics and equipped with information panels, keep young and old explorers on their toes. Culinary treats play an important role: the Alpine pastures and huts serve themed dishes and specialties by underlining the value of regional products - not only on the well-developed mountain slopes in the west but also in Sölden's Silent Part where rest stops await pure nature lovers in varied Pastureland Areas.
Sölden's locals didn't create a new theory of relativity. But they have redefined time and space. Exactly in a region where the conditions are particularly favorable: up in the amazing pastureland areas. Here time is relative as it is no longer measured by hours and minutes but by beautiful moments. Where the endless natural space stretches far into the deep blue sky.
Guests discover these relaxing worlds of magic on splendid family hiking trails leading from hut to hut, and right in-between you will find the themed activity stations. The municipality of Sölden has the largest choice of serviced adventure pasturelands and mountain inns in all Austria: there are over 20 attractive Alpine pastures within the area, which are dedicated to special nature and leisure time topics. Passionate hikers on the valley's "time side" enjoy varied topics: Forest Time, Nature Time, Gemstone Time, Play Time, Potato Time, Stube Time, Marende Time, Music Time, History Time, Vista Time, Animal Time, Water Time, Summit Time, Hunting Time, Art Time, Snack Time, Gourmet Time, Lake Time, Fairytale Time, Ice Time, Bike Time and Rustic Time.
In the quaint huts like-minded people meet for a happy exchange while fine themed food is served and theme-related attractions await you outside. At the Sports Time hikers can beat their personal bests in many different ways. Adventure, activity and adrenalin included!
Those who prefer the gentle pulse of nature are recommended to explore the other side of the valley - welcome to Sölden's Silent Part. Extensive time spaces await you here on idyllic pastures, in extensive forests and high Alpine regions. Hikers can literally indulge in the Sunshine Area or the Prayer Area. The most important element of all: silence!
To all those who carefully explore Sölden's Almzeit, nature reveals many surprising secrets on romantic trails and Waalwege water routes, amidst mystic landscapes or colorful Alpine flowers. With a bit of luck you can watch ibexes, marmots, jackdaws and chamois. Early risers experience how breathtaking a sunrise in the mountains can be after an overnight stay at one of the mountain huts. Additionally, you enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding mountain peaks. Seen from here, the world is almost infinitely vast and everyday worries seem so far away: there is enough time and space for your personal thoughts and completely new perspectives.
Guests are invited to experience Almzeit Sölden either on foot along marked trails, by public bus or by mountain lift - even free of charge for holders of the Ötztal Premium Card (for guests staying at Ötztal Premium Card partner lodgings) and the regular Ötztal Card which can be purchased separately. Both cards include free use of the Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch mountain gondolas. In addition, there is also a hut taxi line for an effortless ascent to Windachtal.
