Winkelbergsee

Description

Storybook idyll in the middle of the fairy tale forest
It happened 10,000 years ago. The flat plate was compacted by water and rock masses in the Längenfelder Basin. And as if scattered by a giant hand, house-sized granite boulders pile up in the landslide forest where an icy breath blows from the depths of time out of the caves.

The walkable witch's cave must not be missed.
The magic of the fairy tale forest knows no end when suddenly the jade-green Winkelberg Lake with its three islands sparkles in the sun. A storybook idyll, fed by pure spring water. A little further up, the small water park with mini waterwheels by the wild brook transforms into a paradise nature playground.
